I can't help but thinking ideology doesn't quite summarized my views on the past week. Looking at both,I got encouraged because they were life forces--not forces of death. America was a vibrant force in Obama's speech and Macron tapped the energy of the younger French voter to reject the nihilism of Le Pan. The spirit tonight in Paris is the same as that in Chicago 2008. Let us amaze you. That's what Macron said that Europe expected France to surprise Europe in a positive way. Obama speech was a more subdued we are still that country of profiles in courage but that our progress is a bit jagged. The whole speech he never mentioned Trump but he was the unspoken ghost.
The task ahead is for America to reject Death.
