Our ideas are gaining day by day. Jonathan Alter of Newsweek is urging the "shunning" of all those bankers and Wall Street execs who gave themselves bonuses out of the bailout packages. He is urging billboards at their commuter stop on trains into Manhattan to include their names, photos and the amount they took.
Reed Hastings , the CEO of Netflix, writes in the New York Times op-ed section today that the disparity in wealth between how much he is compensated and others who work for him is making him uncomfortable. He urges instead of the salary cap proposed by President Obama that the top income tax rate be raised to 50% as we've suggested.
A tip of the hat to John Cole's description of bipartisanship in this day and age. He says how can you have bipartisanship when one party is insane. He likens it to asking his wife to go out to dinner," I prefer Italian but she suggests tire rims and anthrax. How can you square the difference?"
