The Math Is Not On Trump's Side.

++Rebecca Traister appeared on Bill Maher's show and revealed a fact I didn't know. 23% of the electorate this year are single women. Single women provided Obama with the winning demographic in both 2008 and 2012.With the % of the electorate being 52% woman and 3/4rds of them already saying they won't vote for Trump, the math gets daunting. This nation is now a majority unmarried state.

++It is usual to say that the GOP has 191 electoral votes going into the general election.  But already political commentators are speaking about Arizona and Georgia being in play for the Democrats. (I doubt this year will see this happen.)

++But the Dailykos has analysis of how difficult it is for Trump to get to 270. Contrary to typical Republican strategy, he has to move toward a sweep in the Midwest. But Ohio governor Kasich and Michigan's Snyder --both Republicans--are against Trump. Minnesota is a relatively well-run state by the Democrats and the republicans have won Wisconsin since 1988.

++To pull this hat trick off, Trump actually has to have a ground game. He simply can't rely on flying in at the spur of the moment.

++As Jason linking said Trump's campaign strategy is an off-track mess.
