HE CAN'T DIVEST

Josh Marshall spent the early part of the primaries musing about the full extent of Trump's wealth. After the election, he told Democrats it really wasn't about any conflicts of interest. Today, Marhall finally realizing that Donald can't divest. He is too underwater, dependent on current and expanding cash flow. He can't put in a blind trust or he risks his empire coming part, collapsing tint bankruptcy.

I come at this differently. Trump's empire is $650 million in debt to Russian plutocrats linked to Putin and he owes $350 million to the National Bank of China.

Having Ivanka in his meetings with foreign leaders is all about expanding the family business. His call with the President Of Taiwan was about his desire to develop a resort on the northern end of the island.

As law professor Tribe said "he is a walking violation of the constitution the minute he enters the office."

How the Republicans will square the emoulment section of the constitution with the Trump presidency is anyone's guess.
