We are going to have a continuing budget resolution that will keep sequester in place. The Trump team hasn't nominated a director for the Office of Management and Budget. Although required by law to submit a budget before February,it is likely LeTourneau that there sill be no budget until next September.
She notices Trump hasn't mentioned the wall for sometime,has been waffling on illegal immigrants and seems to have abandoned infrastructure.
She boils Trump and Paul Ryan's priorities as follows:
Trump: 1. Repeal Obamacare
2. Increase defense spending
3. Tax Cuts.
Ryan: 1. Repeal Obamacare
2. Tax Cuts
3. Repeal Regulations.
LeTourneau says we should expect Repeal Obamacare immediately without alot of testimony. The Republicans want to do this through reconciliation so they do not need 60 votes.
I would suggest the repeal is the tax cut and they kill two birds with one stone. Ryan will try to appeal Dodd-Frank and set in motion the 2008 crash again.
The reason Trump would not have a budget until summer is that he has to pacify Republicans because he will be a huge deficit spender and will enlarge the national debt by several trillion.
