Oregon Governor John Kitzhaber Resigns

++Governor John Kitzhaber finally resigned after much hesitation. You will recall he defeated Republican Dr. Wahbey, who was exposed to be a stalker of her former husband and another man who had been her lover. 

++Apparently Oregon is this year's South Carolina. Kitzhaber's significant other was first exposed as having a green card marriage which she didn't tell the Governor about. This didn't affect his re-election.

++What triggered his resignation was his lover's consultant contracts with state agencies. This conflict of interest did him in.

++I'm sorry. I liked the guy and his way of governing. He is succeeded by a Democratic woman.
