++Karl Rove has to maintain his professional reputation despite his involvement in various SuperPac efforts so he plays it reasonably kosher on his analysis of the electoral vote.
++What is curious to me about his map is that there are no toss-ups in the West. While Karl points to slight shifts toward Romney and boasts that President Obama has less solid states on his map than when he began in April, the news is not all that encouraging to Mitt.
++In clear toss-up states, Uncle Karl is really down to five--New Hampshire, Iowa,Virginia,North Carolina and Florida. South Carolina is put in a toss-up category simply because there has not been a lot of presidential polling there. Since his hero is Mark Hanna, Karl knows what assigning Ohio to President Obama means. So for Karl, there are 67 electoral votes outstanding. Even if Romney ran the string, he would come up short.
