Way To Go Willard!

And so it was that the Donald didn't give Romney the momentum he needed. Romney did not win a single county in either Missouri or Minnesota. In the end, Romney lost two states, which he won in 2008. He eagerly stayed in Denver, hoping for a victory there, the place where he won handily last time before bowing out of the contest and endorsing John McCain. But alas, his press bus had an accident and David Gergen quipped,"Romney's bus ran into the ditch." And he lost Colorado.

So Romney has won his home state, New Hampshire, Nevada, where Mormons tipped the scale in the caucuses, and with a lot of money and attack ads Florida. The early knockout strategy for Romney is in tatters.

To make matters worse, Quinnipiac released a poll this morning that shows for the first time Obama has pulled out in front of Romney in Virginia.

It will be interesting to watch Arizona, where the anti-immigrant sentiment is high and Mormons are plentiful.

The one takeaway of last night is that Romney is not even close to making the final sale.
