Since July 2009, the private sector has created 3.074 million jobs. The public sector has lost 541,000 jobs. So President Obama's record is 2.533 million jobs created during that time.
For the eight years of President George W. Bush, the private sector lost 646,000 jobs and added 1.741 million public sector jobs. So during all of the Bush years, the United States gained nay 1.095 million jobs.
That means President Obama has created 2 1/2 as many jobs as George W. Bush did in eight years in only three years--actually two years.
Manufacturing created 444,000 jobs since January 2010--which is the largest gain in manufacturing jobs since 1993-95.
But Mitt Romney claims he will create 11.5 million jobs in his first term. So he would have created 10times the amount of jobs George W. Bush created in half the time--but with all the same economic advisers. They learned their lesson and deserve a second chance.
