Senate Foreign Relations Passes Corker-Cardin 19 to 0

+The Compromise bill would allow the Senate a 30-day window to review the bill before sanctions were lifted.

+The amendment that was killed was to link approval of the bill to Iran's support of terrorism.

+The President now must periodically report on Iranian terrorist activities that affect Americans.

+The President was lukewarm of about approving the bill but said he would sign it.

+Senate Democrats claim this will to affect a deal going forward. We'll see. I don't buy it.

+But at least it doesn't automatically kill the bill.

+Sanctions will remain in place on human rights violations and terrorism but the President can lift those he has put in place by executive order.

+If you look at it,the Russians and Chinese are chafing at the bit for global sanctions to be lifted. We witnessed that with the promise of Putin to deliver missiles to Iran. Bibi called him up to object but Putin told him the missiles wouldn't harm Israel.

+Meanwhile the negotiators of the specifics of the deal are returning to France to continue.

+The irony here is that the global sanctions regime was put in place by President Obama and Hillary Clinton so that it's the GOP which wants to destroy them before a deal.
