Now These People Don't Give Up--But Should

+As anyone familiar with this blog knows,I have a keen interest in the Holocaust and what lessons, if any, one can learn from it.

+But if the Holocaust is incomprehensible and even beyond our imagination,Denying the Holocaust in the 21st Century requires immediate psychiatric attention.

+We are used to the Iranian conferences on the subject but a London conference?

+130 people are gathered in a London Hotel for a conference on the Holocaust never occurring. Allegedly the organizer is the California-based Institute for Historical Review.

+The invitees are the UKIP in the U.K.,a Spanish neo-Nazi, and the French party of Le Pen. I am sure there are others from the Far-Right in Europe.

+No one quite knows what they are talking about.  London papers report the unfunny jokes about Charlie Hebdo, the bombing of the kosher deli, and crematoria of the death camps. A big part of the group's repertoire were racist, not anti-semitic remarks.

+One participant thought everything was fine as long as participants presented their evidence in a scholarly fashion. I wonder whether David Irving was there.

+And you wonder why Abe Foxman still is concerned about anti-semiticism. It is hardwired into the European landscape.

+Meanwhile the German Foreign Minister expressed astonishment at Holocaust memorial services in Germany that his country could even have relations with Israel. He said, "It is a miracle."

+You can read about the Holocaust Denial conference at The Times of Israel.
