++I guess congratulations are in order, Vivek Murthy waited one year until his notation could make it to the Senate floor for a vote. His crime--he said that gun violence was "an important public health issue."
++The vote was 51 to 43 and Dr. Murthy, an Indian-American , becomes one of our youngest surgeon generals.
++Does anyone remember the fight over Ebola and the Republicans wondering why we didn't have a surgeon general? Well, he was hiding in plain sight just obstructed by the GOP themselves.
