Both President Obama and John Kerry address the press after Iran Deal

+President Obama extensively outlined the framework for the Iranian nuclear deal which includes the most intrusive inspection regime of any nuclear agreement. He mentioned that every stage of the nuclear process will be monitored. The Arak plutonium reactor will be closed and the plutonium shipped out of the country. Furdow will be open for inspection. It emphasized that the deal was with our allies and all global powers not just us and he said that the sanctions at the United Nations would be suspended and can be snap back if Iran cheats.

+He tweaked the Supreme Leader by quitting his fatwa against nuclear weapons and said that the deal would demonstrate whether the program would be peaceful. He over-confidently said that his negotiating team would be briefing the Congress and that the GOP would see that this is larger than politics but an issue of war and peace.

+He said he already explained the deal with Saudi Arabia and invited the GULF states to Camp David to discuss the region later this Spring.

+He said he would LATER speak to Bibi and brief him on the deal. I guess so that Bibi's response can't make the evening news. Israel earlier in the day said they were holding the military option open.

+President Obama recalled that JFK,Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush had negotiated arms deals with the Soviet Union who posed a much greater threat to our security than Iran.

+He spokes again to the Iranian people that this was one step that they can re-enter the international community as he promised at the beginning of his first term.

+President Obama did as clear a job of explaining the deal as any American official so far.

+John Kerry, who looked like he wanted to go to sleep, explained that the uranium would either be diluted or sold on the international market. This was the issue of whether it would be sent to Russia. Obviously that has not been resolved.

+Kerry claimed that sanctions would be removed as soon as the IAEA verified every step. He said that Iran could move forward as fast as 60 days.

+In President Obama's remarks, he talks about the 10 year period of the agreement, the 15-year component and the permanent aspects under the Non-Proliferation Treaty. To me that was the most persuasive elements of the agreement.

+Both Obama and Kerry said that the sanctions against Iran for terrorism and cruise missiles would remain.

+President Obama said there was no agreement into all details were hammered out by June. I wish he won't say this because it encourages the Senate to wreck the agreement.
