It's Beginning to Feel like an Obama Bounce

++35.7 million Americans saw President Obama's acceptance speech, about five million more than Romney's.

++Nate Silver says that Obama was trending 7 to 9 points ahead of Romney just after Clinton's speech.

++1,000,000 people on Facebook have inserted "Re-elect Obama" as their middle name.

++The Obama campaign reached 700,000 new small donors during the convention. They had originally set a goal of 500,000--then pushed it to 600,000.

++PPP says their polling--due out tomorrow--is beginning to look like 2008 again.

++Gallup today has Obama at a 49-45 edge over Romney and his approval rating at 53%, the highest approval since May 2011.

++Rasmussen has Obama up 2, which means a 6-pt swing this week.

++The Reuters/Ipsos poll has Obama 47 against Romney's 43. Even more importantly President Obama leads in 12 out our 13 character questions. Willard only tops Obama in faithfulness.

++Nate Silver has Obama at 316.9EVs with a 79.8% chance of winning, his highest in a long time.

++The Democrats have a three-one advantage in campaign workers in battleground states.

++The Fraternal Order of the Police , all 330,000 strong, refused to endorse Romney, the first time they have never endorsed a presidential candidate. Usually, they backed Republicans.

++Republicans have lost their challenge to Virgil Goode in Virginia and have withdrawn their challenge to Gary Johnson in Ohio.

++The Secretary of State in Ohio who believed he could resist the federal judge's ruling on early voting backed down--sort of. He still is resisting weekend voting. But did show up at court and said he would comply with the judge's order.

++Mitt Romney has ads out in North Carolina and Virginia saying he will get tough with China. I guess he wants a discount on all his campaign buttons built there.

++Romney campaigned in Virginia today with Pat Robertson and promised he would keep God in "In God We Trust" and would not eliminate God from our coins. Of course, Obama did this in 1997, when In God We Trust was accidentally dropped from coins. It's like Obama was responsible for the global economic collapse. The Obama campaign called Romney desperate.

++Romney decided to pick a fight with his running mate, who happened to come out for medical marijuana. Romney fired back at Paul Ryan saying he would fight legalizing marijuana and also condemned Ryan's support for defense cuts as part of the budget deal. 

++Meanwhile President Obama was campaigning in Florida drawing huge, huge crowds. It did seem like 2008 again.
