Ed Kilgore's Fun Take on South Dakota

++Throughout the Senate campaign,Ed Kilgore at Washington Monthly has consistently raised the peculiar issue of run-offs in Georgia and Louisiana. Throw in the slow, slow count in Alaska and you have election night ending in uncertainty about whose going to control the Senate.

++Now throw in,two possible Independent victors--one in Kansas, the other in South Dakota. Kilgore reminds us that Pressler, while serving in both the House and the Senate as a Republican, is a personal friend of President Obama and supported him in both 2008 and 2012.

++So not only don't you know the Senate with the first three races, but you don't know whether Orman and/or Pressler will caucus with the Republicans or Democrats.

++Then take Angus Reid from Maine. If it is really close, he said he might caucus with the GOP.

++Then what will be the lead narrative coming out of the Senate elections? This was supposed to be a slam dunk for the GOP.

++It may be a long, long night ,even months before we know.
