Good News For Someone

++While Nate Silver still has the odds of President Obama winning reelection,the President has slipped below 50% in the popular vote and his electoral vote margin is shrinking at a rapid rate. Good news is that Silver has 80% odds that the Democrats will retain the Senate. Nate Silver is saying that Obama's firewall in the Swing States is thin but still standing.

++Now for some things completely different:

   *Bloomberg news says that on a scale of 1-10, our economy is a fairly firm six and heading higher"
   *Citigroup Economic surprise Index is now at 49.4 from a low of -65.3 on July 19.
   *National Association of Realtors index is 7.8, a two year high.
   *Car sales have hit 14.9 million,the fastest month since 2008.
   *Thompson/Reuters/U of Mich preliminary index of consumer sentiment jumped on October to the highest since 2007, when the recession began. It went from 78.3 to 83.1. 
   *The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index registered a 38.5 in the week that ended in October 7, the highest in 3 months.

++High Point University poll--North Carolina  President Obama 46 to 45.

++Pepperdine University: Obama 54% to Romney 32.9% and 4.2% for someone else.

++51.4% saw the Vice President debate. 

++Rand Tracking : Obama 48 to Romney 46

++Obama's Job creation record--5.2 million over 31 months. Counting the depth of the small Depression, total is a net 663,000. 

++House Republican Job Creation record: 0

++Mitt Romney's job creation record as governor: 22,000.
