++While Nate Silver still has the odds of President Obama winning reelection,the President has slipped below 50% in the popular vote and his electoral vote margin is shrinking at a rapid rate. Good news is that Silver has 80% odds that the Democrats will retain the Senate. Nate Silver is saying that Obama's firewall in the Swing States is thin but still standing.

*Citigroup Economic surprise Index is now at 49.4 from a low of -65.3 on July 19.
*National Association of Realtors index is 7.8, a two year high.
*Car sales have hit 14.9 million,the fastest month since 2008.
*Thompson/Reuters/U of Mich preliminary index of consumer sentiment jumped on October to the highest since 2007, when the recession began. It went from 78.3 to 83.1.
*The Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index registered a 38.5 in the week that ended in October 7, the highest in 3 months.
