++First, let's start with the good news. Scholastic has down its presidential poll of school children. The poll has only been wrong twice since 1940. In 1948, with the Truman upset win over Dewey and in 1960 with Kennedy over Nixon. The 1960 poll was conducted before the debate.
++Rand ,which has the same set of voters to track, has the race 49 to 44.
++Rasmussen Swing state poll has Obama 49 to Romney 47. Its tracking poll remains the same Romney 49 to Obama 47, 2 for third parties and 2 undecided.
++Gary Johnson has won his court cases to be on over 43 state ballots as a libertarian.
++And now for the bad news:
PPP has Romney 50 to Obama 46. The polling firm said Sunday had been a terrible polling day for Obama losing 55-43.
PPP says that Romney is winning the swing states by 50 to 47.
++Suffolk, which disgraced itself by withdrawing from Virginia, North Carolina and Florida by saying Obama could win there, says that New Hampshire is all tied up at 47 to 47.
++The Obama campaign has screamed loudly about Gallup's swing state poll showing Romney with a five point lead. The issue ,they say, is that the woman vote is split 50-50. Clearly, their internals tell something different.
++Karl Rove, sensing opportunity, has committed $11 million to target the woman vote.
++The Romney campaign is trying to go after the Hispanic vote on the Macho theme by showing that Obama is pro-gay.
++The Washington Post has given Romney's 12 million promise 4 Pinochios. But I am convinced that no one cares. Just as the Tax Plan makes utterly no sense. Why engage in tax reform if you are not going to cut taxes? He said it was revenue neutral and would not cut taxes for the rich. Not true as Bill Clinton explained in an Obama commercial. Clinton would still get a $250,000 tax break even without his mortgage deduction.
++David Stockman has weighed by denouncing Romney as a businessman. "He was a master financial speculator ,wo bought ,sold, flipped and stripped businesses." Stockman should know because he has been working with equity and hedge funds for years.
